| This love of religion will have the same effect upon him than it had upon the holy psalmist. He will not with indifference see me in trample underfoot the Son of God, and the despise the blood of His cross. He will be "grieved when men keep not God's law." If he knows i know his hearers to be guilty of any sands of omission or commission, he will not fail to remonstrate against them, to point out their evil and inconsistency with the Gospel (without pointing out the offenders in public) and persuade, they exhort and intreat transgressors to amend. |
